S Truett Cathy (1921-2014) founded Chick-fil-A. Starting with one store and his mom’s chicken recipe, he built an enterprise that made him a billionaire. He stood by his principles, all Chick-fil-A stores remain closed on Sundays. This is unheard of in the fast food business. Chick-fil-A’s unique business model also does not franchise.
