Carl F Frost (1914-2009) was a consultant and a Professor Emeritus of Psychology at Michigan State University. Carl is included as a posthumous influencer because the high value of asking the tough questions is the role of a quality consultant.

The following is a portion of the preface to one of Carl F. Frost’s books, Changing Forever:

Hugh De Pree, former President of Herman Miller, Inc., was once asked by a prospective client (of Carl F Frost), “What has Frost done for Herman Miller?” After a prolonged pause, Hugh answered, “I really can’t think of anything that Frost has done for Herman Miller.” The caller then asked whether I was still employed as a consultant to Herman Miller. Hugh’s second answer came more quickly, “Oh of course. You know he keeps asking the damnedest questions.”
